Take a look behind the curtain of how we show youth with exceptional different abilities how to bring their own animated MicroShort from concept to completion in only one week! Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we had to transition our camps from in-Person to Virtual and continue to bring our summer animation camps to our youth with exceptional different abilities. It was a challenge, but we prevailed, and our youth, not only stepped up to the plate, but were excellent! Our focus is to bring opportunities to everyone including as many underserved youth as possible. We provided whatever was necessary to include everyone including iPad loaners and computer where need be. We believe everyone should have a chance at a career in something they love. These summer camps gives our exceptional youth a chance to see if animation is for them. Brought to you by DaniMation Entertainment, Arts4All Florida, Miami-Dade County of Cultural Affairs, Arts4Learning, All Kids Included, The Children’s Trust, and Toon Boom. For more information about the summer camps visit Arts4AllFloirda.org. Animation Gets Real Miami 2020 Volume 1 is presented by Arts4All Florida and Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs as part of All Kids Included—Accessible Arts Experiences for Kids (AKI) initiative. AKI promotes inclusive arts and cultural programs in school settings and throughout the community so that kids of all abilities and their families can participate fully in the arts. All Kids Included is made possible with the support of the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs Council, the Miami-Dade County Mayor and Board of County Commissioners, and in part through grant funding provided by The Children’s Trust. The Children’s Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County. Additional support was provided by Florida Department of Education, and Florida Department of State Division of Cultural Affairs.
